PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Good teachers are committed to life-long learning through ongoing professional development experiences. Wellan Institute offers workshops for educators interested in working in both Montessori and non-Montessori schools or childcare settings.

Check out our course offerings below. Contact us if you have questions about whether a particular workshop will meet your needs and expectations.

  • The 3-day Montessori Assistant Teacher Training course is specifically geared to adults who work under the supervision of a lead teacher in a Montessori toddler or early childhood classroom.

  • The 1-day Introduction to Practical Life course is open to all teachers, including AMS-certified educators who want to get re-inspired and refresh their knowledge of Montessori principles and practice.

  • Our annual 1-day Heart and Hand Conference provides a unique opportunity for all who spend time with young children – teachers, parents, grandparents, au pairs, nannies, and other caregivers – to participate in interactive skill-building workshops and learn more about Montessori practices.

Take your career to the next level by improving your skills, broadening your perspectives, and connecting with other adult learners at Wellan Institute!
