EARLY CHILDHOOD (ages 3–6) CERTIFICATION COURSE CALENDAR

The course is a 13-month adult education experience that runs from April of one year to June of the following year. During that time, students take academic courses (Foundational Development session, Summer Academic session, Practicum Year Weekend workshops, and Advisory meetings) and complete a 9-month practicum in a Montessori classroom.

The Wellan program prioritizes a philosophy of “Following the Adults”. Recognizing that our lives are often hectic, making long-term commitments can be challenging. To address this, we’ve designed a flexible approach to accommodate learners’ busy schedules. In every schedule option, the academic phase has to be completed before the Practicum Phase is started.
